The Alde Valley Spring Festival is a four week celebration of food, farming, landscape and the arts that takes place just after Easter each Spring. Its home is a small livestock farm in the village of Great Glemham in the Upper Alde Valley (just a stroll or a bike ride from Alde Garden), a few miles upstream of Snape Maltings, the Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts and Aldeburgh town.

The County’s biggest day out, with something for all the family – rain or shine. A two day event featuring ring displays, food & drink, horticulture and countryside/wildlife exhibitors. Over 700 retail companies, over 1000 livestock exhibits, equine competitions and live music in the evening.

The Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts was founded in 1948 by Benjamin Britten, Peter Pears and the writer and producer Eric Crozier. Now in it’s 62nd year, artists include names both familiar to Aldeburgh and introduces new ones, with music from an extraordinary breadth of influences and ages.
