Yurt, Tipi, Gypsy Caravan, cottage and camping accommodation in the Suffolk countrysideGypsy Caravan - sleeps 2 adults + 1-2 small childrenWhat could be more romantic than a traditional wooden gypsy caravan? And ours is a fine, unique example of exceptional workmanship and beauty. Perfect for two the caravan has a cozy & very comfortable double bed tucked away behind a curtain, and at night it is lit by solar fairy lights and tea light lanterns. There is even a small woodburner built in to keep you nice and toasty. We'll include wood briquettes (made from recycled woodshavings) and, for stays of 3 nights or more, 200 threadcount 100% cotton sheets, wool blankets & pillows with 800 threadcount pillowcases. The caravan is parked next to an old wooden donkey shed, which has been converted and fitted out to provide extra living and cooking space, should you require it. Inside you'll find a traditional washstand, seating, cupboard space, a table and a gas stove - as well as basic cooking equipment. Nestled in it's own private spot surrounded by trees, shrubs and wildflowers - let our gypsy caravan take you to a faraway place without moving an inch! All set within a mature wildlife garden of just an acre, Alde Garden is a warm friendly site with a communal feel. Please note if you are looking for a quiet retreat or romantic break the best time to come is during the week outside of school holidays. Please note: the size of the bed and seating are determined by the size of the waggon itself. There is a pull-out double bed but it is shorter and narrower than a normal double - 6' x just over 4'. Underneath the double there is a small space suitable for a couple of small children to sleep in as well, but again it is quite cozy (5'x3'). PRICES for 2012
For every night this gypsy caravan is occupied, we will donate £1 to the Donkey Sanctuary in Devon. Long before we arrived, a donkey named Shandy lived in the donkey shed here at Alde Garden. When his owners moved away he was taken to the Donkey Sanctuary where he then lived on for a few more happy years. Sadly we never got a chance to meet him as he passed away before we knew of his existence. |
